What it is
It is a non-contributory pension for people aged 65 or older who are Mexican by birth or naturalization and live in Mexico. In 2026 the amount is $3,200.00 a month, paid every two months, and you request it when you reach that age.
- Time
- You are told the result within two months after the request is entered. The pension is delivered every two months starting in the two-month period in which you are enrolled.
Requirements
- You must be 65 or older, Mexican by birth or naturalization, and live in Mexico; your age counts as reached during the two-month period in which you are enrolled.
- Bring a copy and the original of your birth certificate so they can be compared.
- Bring a current ID: a voter card or, if you do not have one, a valid passport, an INAPAM card, or another identity document issued by an authority.
- Present your CURP (unique population registry code).
- Bring proof of address no more than 6 months old, or a residence certificate from the local authority.
- Submit the completed Formato Único de Bienestar.
- Have a mobile phone number and a home phone number.
Steps
- Go to a service module with your documents, or ask for a home visit if a disability or illness keeps you from leaving home.
- Module staff register your request if you meet the requirements.
- If a document is missing or has an error, you can correct it at any time during that fiscal year.
- They tell you the result within two months after the request is entered.
- Once your registration is validated, they start issuing a bank card, and the first payment order confirms that you were enrolled.
- The pension is delivered every two months, directly and without intermediaries, through that payment method.
